About me

    Hello, my name is Sofia🌈🧚, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Argentina. I was born in Saladillo (Argentina). I left that place when I was 2 years old and since then I started living in different cities. I spent most of my childhood in the cities of Santa Fe and Santo Tome. When I was 8 years old, we moved back to Saladillo, where I spent my last years before moving to Chile.

    In 2015, because of my father’s work, there was the opportunity to live in Curicó, Chile and that's how I arrived. I've been living in this country for 6 years now and I'm very happy that it has been like this.

     My family is currently made up of my dad, mom, brother, and my kitty. Throughout my life I had a total of three kittens 😸😸😸 and a dog 🐶 that was very important in my life, she was with us since I was born.

    If we talk about me, I consider that I am very sociable person when I get to know the people around me and I usually laugh a lot.

    Of all the activities and sports, I have been through, what I enjoy doing the most is roller skating and participating in various volunteer work. As hobbies, I spend my free time playing the sims, while listening to storytimes on YT. I also do manual activities a lot since they tend to relax me a lot. I went from practicing candle making to trying to bake cupcakes (I didn't always succeed 😞), and now I'm trying my hands at knitting, and it has been going well.

Himouto! Umaru-chan

More than films, I tend to enjoy series much more, of which I have many to recommend, for example: GOT, Peaky Blinders, Friends, Gilmore Girls, etc. But the series/anime that I enjoy the most are the ones that are easy to watch without so much drama, as they are fun and uplifting for everyday life. An anime that I really liked in the above style and that has comedy is "Himouto! Umaru-chan", the manga was created by Sankaku Head and the director of the anime was Masahiko Ohta. The prequel to the anime has 14 episodes of 20 minutes each and the sequel has 12 episodes of the same length. The main characters are Taihei and her younger sister Umaru, who most of the anime is about, she is very beautiful and intelligent, she fulfils all expectations, as she does very well in academics and sports, but this "perfect" character has a secret. As I mentioned before, I like this anime and I recommend it, as it is fun and light to watch, it can make you smile and cheer you up...

Photo of the stars in Valle de Elqui

When I traveled with my family to Valle de Elqui, I took this photo with my father, it was a difficult photo because I had never taken a photo like this one before and this kind of photos needs preparation for a good result. As you can see, we achieved to capture a shoot where we could see the stars, but in person the stars didn’t look like in the camara. In the photo the night sky looked deeper. It was taken in August 2021 in a short vacation where I had the objective of taking as many photos of the stars as I could. I really like this photo, because it was a beautiful moment with my family watching the night sky and it remember me the fun vacation that I had. Despite it was hard start to take this kind of photos, I consider it was a great result and this photo was a one of the best from the photoshoot.

Subjects

The truth is that I had a hard time thinking about which subject I enjoy studying, as I enjoy a few things from various subjects, but not everything from only one. After thinking about it, I could say that the two subjects I have enjoyed the most at university has been psychobiology and personality psychology. Psychobiology it’s about animal behaviour related to the past of humans and the behaviours that we still have today. What I liked most about this subject is that it focuses on the study of animals, and I really enjoyed analysing their behaviours and comparing them with the behaviours that humans still have. On the other hand, personality psychology has been a subject that I have liked, because I feel it is a good introduction to the psychology career, as we see the different paradigms that exist in this and the ways in which humans are seen and treated depending on the field in which you focus.
